Valli Pirolusite is a natural mineral, with no additives and impurities, highly suitable for use as iron and manganese catalyst dissolved in waters.

Valli Pirolusite is used in pressure filters or gravity strainers, mixed from 20 to 50% by volume with sand of appropriate grain size, and allows reduction of iron and manganese below 0.05 and 0.02 mg/l.

Valli Pirolusite complies with the UNI EN ISO 13752 standard “Products for the treatment of water intended for human consumption - manganese dioxide”.

It is available in the following grain sizes: 0.35/0.85 mm and 0.5/3.35 mm.
