Valli Madreperla is a highly valuable material, iridescent pearl white, made from the inner layer of shells.

It is used for its hardness in the production of various objects, for the decoration of specific surfaces and for artistic floorings, especially in the Venetian-style terrazzo.

It is still currently used for the creation of inlay drawings and furniture decoration.
