Glass is a material that can be recycled to infinity.

Recycling glass is an ecological process for several reasons:
- reduces the amount of waste destined for disposal
- glass remelting reduces the amount of raw materials that are necessary for production, as in the case of silica sand and calcium carbonate, reducing the environmental damage caused by the exploitation of the quarries.
- recycling glass correctly involves less energy expenditure: for every ton of scrap that is remelted, 100 kg of fuel and 1200 kg of raw materials can be saved.
