Valli Ticino Sand - Sabbia del Ticino or River Sand is an alluvial origin sand, naturally rounded, polychrome in colour and with a SiO2 content between 83 and 86%. The granule has a high resistance to heat (1500-1700°C), its hardness index on the Mohs scale is 7 and has a specific weight of 1500 kg per cubic meter.
Valli Ticino Sand is intended for the use in the following fields: abrasives, aquariums, chemicals, paint factories, decorations, detergents, water treatment filters, foundries, bituminous coatings, sports facilities, cement mortars, concrete manufactures, flooring, swimming pools, prefabricated buildings, restorations, refractory materials, wall cladding, sandblasting, sealants, etc…
Valli Ticino Sand is also available in the resin-coated type, which gives the granulate a shiny effect and is useful to prevent the release of powders. It is possible to choose the type of resin: epoxy, polyurethane, for indoor or outdoor use.
